…We reflect Christ’s compassion.
…We serve others.
We believe that the spirit of God endows each one of us with unique gifts to serve others. One of the most important jobs we have here is helping our members discover their gifts and then find ways to share them with other members and the community. That is ministry — using our gifts, learning the needs of ours and the greater community, and setting out to meet them according to the power and hope of the Gospel!
Our Ministries include…..
Open Cupboard Food Pantry
Each Sunday of the month, non-perishable food items are collected at the beginning of worship and taken monthly to the food pantry in Clinton, N.J.
Family Promise of Hunterdon County (formerly known as IHN)
Family Promise is a non-profit organization in Flemington that partners with local churches in the area to host families who are dealing with housing needs. The families rotate from church to church until their housing needs are resolved. The program provides shelter, sustenance, and support in caring settings while assisting its guests in resolving their homelessness. LRC has joined with Rockaway Reformed Church as a support congregation and throughout the year LRC provides meals and enjoys a family sit down dinner with the families. We Shall Over-Run 5K Run
Annually Lebanon Reformed Church hosts a 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk and donates all of the event proceeds to benefit Hunterdon Hospice.
Open Arms Day Club
Located at LRC, the Open Arms Day Club promotes the quality of life and independence for older, frail adults through health, social and supportive services. They work with health professionals, families, volunteers, churches, civic organizations and businesses that want elders to age positively, safely, with dignity. They help caregivers keep their loved ones at home as long as possible, to delay or prevent placement in a nursing home or assisted living facility. We enable families to afford our services by coordinating use of federal, state and county programs. The day club is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. For more information visit http://openarmsdayclub.com/or call 908-840-4128.
